With their roots embedded in expanded learning for almost two decades, Impact LA was founded by two women, who found their passion to give back to the community that raised them.

Courtney Lockridge is a passionate community leader, social impact strategist, and entrepreneur dedicated to creating meaningful change in Los Angeles. As the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Impact LA, Courtney leads the organization’s mission to expand opportunity, empower families, and strengthen neighborhoods through innovative programs in youth development, essential resources distribution, expanded learning, and community engagement.
A California native, Courtney’s commitment to service and community was shaped early in her life and has guided her career in the nonprofit and social impact space. With a deep desire to uplift underserved populations and give back to the city that raised her, she co-founded Impact LA to build programs that address systemic needs and create lasting community impact.
Under Courtney’s leadership, Impact LA has grown into a dynamic organization known for expanding access to free meals, disaster relief, educational enrichment, and large-scale community events like the annual backpack giveaway. She oversees strategic planning, community partnerships, program development, and resource mobilization efforts, ensuring that the organization’s work meets the evolving needs of families across Los Angeles.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Courtney is an experienced entrepreneur and personal development advocate. She blends strategic vision with heartfelt service, inspiring others to pursue purpose-driven work and fostering inclusive spaces where people can thrive. Courtney’s work is rooted in integrity, collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of community to transform lives.

Emerita Lezett Flores is a dedicated community leader, nonprofit innovator, and co-founder of Impact LA, an organization rooted in expanding access to essential resources, food equity, and educational enrichment for underserved children and families in the Los Angeles area.
With a career grounded in passion for social justice and educational support, Emerita has spent nearly two decades working to improve youth outcomes through expanded learning and nutrition programs. Before founding Impact LA, she held key roles in nonprofit and after-school program management, including leadership positions with Boys & Girls Clubs and expanded learning services.
At Impact LA, Emerita’s vision drives programming that provides free meals during after-school and summer breaks, supports disaster relief efforts, and organizes community empowerment events such as backpack giveaways and resource drives. Her commitment to equitable access to food and supportive services reflects a deep belief in building community resilience and opportunity for all youth.
Emerita studied Social and Behavioral Sciences at California State University, Fullerton and continues to cultivate her impact through strategic nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and mentorship. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys art, gardening, travel, and quality time with family and friends.
United by a shared passion, they set out to create opportunities for youth to explore life beyond their usual boundaries, offering experiences that might otherwise remain out of reach.
Our values are the ideals and principles that are at the heartbeat of our organization and guide the decision-making, actions and behaviors in everything we do.
